I'm experiencing performance issues with DESTEK Link Cable after adjusting my graphics preferences.

DESTEK Link Cable allows you to fine tune your graphics preferences via the Oculus desktop app. As a general rule, the more you crank up display options like refresh rate and render resolution, the more the overall performance of Link can be negatively impacted.

If you find that DESTEK Link Cable looks choppy (screen stuttering, frames dropping, etc) try the following:

1.Open the Oculus app on your Computer.

2.Click Devices on the left side of the app.

3.Click Quest and Touch.

4.Click Graphics Preferences.

5.Click Reset to default.

6.Click Save and Restart

Keep in mind, if you've previously adjusted any settings for Link with the Oculus Debug tool (including Encode Bitrate, Encode Resolution Width, Pixel Per Display), changing the graphics settings above can negatively impact your performance.

To fix this, set all numerical values you changed to '0' (zero) and then restart the Oculus Desktop app.

If you're still having trouble with Link after making the above adjustments, please reach out to our support team by Support@destekvr.com

Transfer Speed is not as expected

5 Gbps is the theoretical speed with USB 3.0, there may be other factors that may affect the real transfer speed. Simply switch the setting to Better performance and select OK. You will probably be prompted to restart the computer, and after you do, you should start to see substantially faster transfer speeds.

Disconnection

Use the velcro tabs to tie the link cable to the headset for a more robust connection and to reduce cable strain. Also, watch the tutorial video on properly setting up the link cable in order to prevent the disconnection issue.

Usually, disconnection resolves when Air Link is turned off on your headset and the Unknown Resources Option is turned on on your PC.

I'm having trouble with charging my Oculus Quest 2.

- It would take about 3% of the headset's battery to start your headset. Even a fully charged Elite Strap couldn't immediately boot up your headset when your headset is completely drained or at a low battery level. Therefore, when you use the Elite Strap to charge your headset, we recommend not using your headset immediately but waiting 15-20 minutes to let your headset have enough power before using it to play games.

- To ensure a secure and stable connector between your Elite Strap and your Oculus, use the included velcro tab to tie the charging cable to the headset for a more robust connection.

- Once the Elite Strap is connected to your headset, it will constantly charge your headset unless your headset is fully charged. So, before using the Elite Strap to charge your headset, we would recommend charging your headset and Elite Strap individually instead of charging and discharging your Elite Strap concurrently, which may cause your Elite Strap to charge slowly or not charge completely.

- When charging, ensure your charging cable is connected to your headset properly. If you're not sure, unplug your charging cable from the headset, then plug it back in.

- Make sure the LED light on the side of your headset is lit while charging. If the LED light is not lit Orange or Green, your headset is not being properly charged.

- Your headset battery may be too hot and may need to cool down before charging. Turn your headset off or put it in sleep mode to cool down.

However, if you still find our suggestions aren't helpful to you please reach out to us by support@destekvr.com

How Can I Wear It Comfortably?

1. Place the headset with the strap on your head and ensure the rear brace is cradling the back of your head.

2. Tighten the top strap so it's supporting the weight of the device.

3. After the top strap is supporting the weight of the device and the rear brace is cupped around the base of your head.

4. Adjust the side straps to loosen or tighten until the headset fits snugly and comfortably.

5. Adjust the strap's plastic casing 45° upwards and pull down the rear brace to relieve the pressure on your cheeks.

How long does it take to charge the battery?

Standard charging takes about 3.5-4.5 hours to reach 100%. (Input: 5V/1.3A)Fast charging is not supported.

Charging time varies depending on the power source and environmental factors; actual results will vary.

What charger or power cable should I use with my Elite Strap with Battery?

We strongly recommend that you only use the USB-C charging cable and power adapter that was included with your Quest 2 headset to charge the Elite Strap With Battery. Other chargers may damage the battery or headset

How long can the battery last while charging your headset?

Up to 2.5 - 3.5 hours (Output: 5V/1.3A)

Extended battery life varies by use, configuration, game intensity, sound volume, wireless connection, and many other factors; actual results will vary.

The headset battery life might still decrease slowly after plugging in the battery while you are playing intensive games.

When the headset is not in use, can I charge the Elite Strap while it is plugged into the headset?

Yes, but it will charge your headset very slowly. Due to the property of the battery in the Elite Strap, it won't charge at the same speed (about less than half) when the Elite Strap is being charged compared to when it's not. Therefore, we suggest charging them individually

Is it a "play and charge" battery? When I'm playing the headset, can I use the Elite Strap to charge my headset while I'm also charging the Elite Strap?

No, we are sorry that the battery of the head strap couldn't keep it charged up while the headset is draining its battery. It may accelerate the battery aging process of the battery if you were to charge it and use it to charge your headset at the same time

Issues with a Link cable and Elite Strap with Battery.

The Elite Strap With Battery doesn't support “pass-through” of Link data. The Link cable can power the Elite Strap, but you won't be able to access your PC content library through it. To use the Link cable to access your PC library, unplug the Elite Strap With Battery cable from your headset and plug the Link cable into the Quest 2's USB-C port.

How to resolve a charging issue

1. When charging improperly, manually disconnect the output charging port from the magnetic USB-C plug inside your headset, and manually attach them together. This is because the surfaces of the output charging port and magnetic USB-C plug may not fully touch together properly as expected in your case.

2. Connect everything properly before placing your headset inside the case. This is because the headset's charging output may also give out a charge to a device causing an issue, but it can be mitigated if you place your headset in the last step.

3. Please use the provided charger and charging cable to charge your OC1 or use a charger and a charging cable that support 5V/2A. The stock charger and charging cable from your Quest 2 headset are not supported to be used to charge the OC1 charging carrying case, please use the included charger and charger cable or the ones with the same charging specifications.

How to resolve when the side straps are not at the same length when pulled out

Fully retract both the left and right side straps to the minimum length, then extend the side strap by the rear fit wheel.

How to resolve a charging issue

1. Use a different charging cable to see if the problem is due to the charging cable.

2. When using the DESTEK QH2 battery pack to charge your headset, please ensure you use the top output port to charge your headset instead of using the bottom input port.

3. Use the included rubber band to hold the charging cable to the head strap as in the product image.

4. Due to the Quest 2 headset requiring 3% of the battery to be able to boot up, use when your headset has at least 10% of battery because the charging speed could keep up with the battery draining speed when your headset is nearly depleted battery.

5. The battery pack chip protects your Quest 2 headset from overcharging, meaning when your headset is fully charged, it will automatically disable charging when connected. You could reinitiate the charging process by pressing the power button on your battery pack.
